The Millington Star Editor Thomas Sellers Jr. was one of many speakers and attractions on Diversity Day for the 2019 Leadership Millington class. Sellers was invited to speak at Olympic Steak & Pizza located at 8500 Wilkinsville Road in Millington. Sellers spoke on his journey from reporter to editor in his 15 years at the Hometown Newspaper. The first black editor of the publication, Sellers has guided The Star to numerous Tennessee Press Association and other media awards since becoming editor in 2007. Sellers is also a graduate of Leadership Millington in 2008.
