Last month the Millington Area Chamber of Commerce held it’s first monthly membership luncheon at the River of Life Church located at 8850 Highway 51 North.
The room was buzzing as Executive Director Chris Thomas hosted the gathering.
“We had a record turnout of almost 120 people to hear Millington Mayor Larry Dagen deliver the State of the City address.”
Dagen took to the podium to address the recent growth in the city and giving a look ahead.
“It’s one thing to talk about growth,” the Mayor said, “but it’s another thing entirely to see it happening in real time. From the new developments on the horizon to the great things coming our way, Millington’s future is incredibly bright.”
Thomas echoed Dagen’s thoughts and expressed how the Chamber will continue to be a partner in the growth and development of Flag City.
“As executive director nothing makes me prouder than seeing our Chamber growing and thriving alongside our city,” Thomas said. “A huge thank you to 901 Catering for the phenomenal meal. You guys knocked it out of the part.
“I love this city and I love the work we’re doing together,” he concluded. “Let’s keep this momentum going. We have 14 new members in one month. Come join us.”
