Stellar Stallions

The Millington Middle School Stallions opened the 2014-15 basketball season last week. At home against the Appling Middle School Wildcats, both the Lady Stallions and Stallions pleased the MMS faithful with a pair of victories. The Lady Stallions were ahead most of their contest against Appling prevailing 31-24 behind solid play from players like Eliana Chambers. In boys’ action, the Wildcats jumped out to an early double-digit lead. But the Stallions rallied to cut the deficit to 32-30 with 3 minutes left. The Stallions finally managed to tie the contest at 34-34 with a minute and 20 seconds remaining. Devonte Nelson gave Millington the lead at 35-34 with a free throw. The Stallions went on to win 36-34.

The 2014-15 Lady Stallions are Head Coach Elaine Currie, Assistant Coaches Andrea Williams and Rebecca Bates, players Ajacia Miles, Eliana Chambers, Christina Nichols, Kenzie Withers, Hannah Clifton, Janna Rittman, Kiara Kemp, Natalee Bone, Ablesset Greet, Kamyiah Tomlin, Alli Joerger, Alexis Lee and Lalia Little, and manager Destiny Lee. The 2014-15 Stallions are Head Coach Justin Brown and Assistant Coach Carlos Fuller, playes Cameron Craft, Jamario Jones, D’Coryan Alexander, Justin Perkins, Rodney McGee, Taveon Collier, Devonte Nelson, Isaiah Wise and Elijah Caswell, managers Noah Cole and  Marchello Gossett.
