State Fair announces title sponsor Two institutions, each more than 100 years old, are teaming to present an event for Tennesseans in September that will feature family entertainment, educational experiences, agricultural exhibits, and much, much more. Officials with the Tennessee State Fair Association announced this week that OneMain Financial has been named title sponsor for this year’s State Fair. OneMain Financial, founded in 1912, has been serving communities and helping individuals realize their financial goals and dreams with a network of offices and locations nationwide including several in Tennessee for well over a century. “This company’s heritage and prestige is so appropriate to be paired with the Tennessee State Fair, a state tradition for more than 100 years,” said John Rose, chairman of the Tennessee State Fair Association board of directors. In making the announcement of the role to be assumed as the State Fair’s title sponsor, Rose said “OneMain Financial, much like the State Fair, is focused on families. “We share a kindred spirit in this primary service area because we too are directing our efforts toward making the State Fair a spectacular family event for all Tennesseans.” The Tennessee State Fair, held at the State Fairgrounds in Nashville annually, is a ten day event beginning on Friday, Sept. 5, and ending on Sunday, Sept. 14. The Fair’s theme this year, “Let the Good Times Grow,” is indicative of  the Fair’s plans for this year’s production and also speaks, according to Fair officials, to the growth being realized by the State Fair as it continues a long standing tradition. Featuring agriculture exhibits, state-of-the-art energy conservation initiatives, handmade crafts and related artwork, a Tennessee brewer’s festival, an afternoon stock car race, a million dollar midway with rides for all ages, and an endless assortment of delicious foods, the Fair has become a “must see, must do” family experience for thousands of Tennesseans.

“We are confident our new relationship with OneMain Financial will serve to make the Tennessee State Fair an even more quality driven entertainment and educational event for families to enjoy and we are very grateful for this company’s financial commitment to our effort,” said Rose.
