Last Thursday morning, the Millington Education Foundation invited sponsors, donors, elected officials and special guests to the Millington Olympic Steak and Pizza located at 8500 Wilkinsville Road. The MEF used the opportunity to display gratitude for all those who have donated money and resources to Millington Schools. Millington Municipal Schools was represented by Tricia Speight. She spoke about the impact of MEF grants on schools since the former E.A. Harrold. Since 2014 the MEF has given away $149,434.10 back to Millington schools toward 248 grants. There were 31 grants awarded for 2022. The current Board consist of Cary Vaughn, Mark Healy, Karroll Warberg, Karla Hornsby, Beth Hearn, Mickey Wilhite, Chuck Hurt Jr., LeAnna Dagen, Randy Hart, Jeremy Tincher, Mark Neal, Thomas Sellers Jr. and Teresa Wells, shined the spotlight on the teachers of the three schools.
