The best boys team in District 15-3A throughout the regular season was the Munford Cougars led by pieces like Head Coach Kameron Foster and players Murray Norman, Jordan Bell and JaDyn Lee. The top girls team in District 15-3A throughout the regular campaign was the Millington Lady Trojans of Head Coach Jason Nichols with standouts like Aubrey Young, Bailey Boone and Alana Whiten. Both teams were unbeaten in league play heading into this past week’s District 15-3A Tournament held in Munford. Check out www.millington-news.com to see how both fared heading into this weekend’s Regional Tournament starting Friday for the Lady Trojans at 7 p.m. in the William Osteen Gymnasium.
Since last Friday, the representatives of District 15-3A that will participate in this upcoming week’s Regional took to the court in the Munford Gymnasium. On the girls’ side, the two teams heading on the road this Friday will be the Munford Lady Cougars and Brighton Lady Cardinals. Meanwhile the Millington Lady Trojans and Covington Lady Chargers will be hosting at 7 p.m. Boys’ Regional kicks off Saturday night at 7 p.m. with the Millington Trojans and Covington Chargers going on the road. The Munford Cougars and Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs will play host.
