The Raleigh-Millington Road Bridge project began Phase 2 last month when the crews opened up the portion of the newly constructed bridge for two-way traffic. Now the attention has turned to the side motorists have driven for months to get in and out of Millington. Also near the Highway 385 connector, the exit has been closed from Raleigh-Millington heading toward Highway 51 for several weeks now. Some improvements are already noticeable with new and wider lanes approaching the 385 underpass. The Raleigh-Millington Road Bridge project was approved by TDOT for better design, structural improvements and environmental benefits.
