Recently Millington residents and other motorists have noticed the remodeling of the structure located at 8252 Highway 51 North.

The former building that served as a Back Yard Burger and Dunkin Donuts will become the newest The Nestle® Toll House®. As of now the closest Toll House is in Jackson located at 25 Stonebrook Place. The menu consists of the trademark cookies, cookie cakes, brownies, ice cream, milk shakes and smoothies. Then there are a full line of hot and frozen coffee beverages.

The Nestlé Toll House Cafés are commonly found in shopping malls or shopping centers. The tradition of the cookie goes back to 1939 at the  Toll House Inn in Whitman, Mass. It was there proprietor Ruth Wakefield became known for her cookies provided to travelers. Wakefield chopping a Nestle chocolate bar into bits and pieces and adding it to the cookie dough led to the cookie.

The first Nestle® Toll House® Café by Chip® opened for business in August 2000, in Frisco, Texas. What followed was an explosion of interest in developing bakery cafés across the US, Puerto Rico, Canada, and the Middle East.
