As more commercial development is taking shape with the outparcel lots in the Forked River Commons shopping center, coming soon will be the new Campbell’s Clinic. Charles Goforth, planning consultant for the city, said the Site Plan was originally submitted with a proposal to divide the outparcel into two lots. Although the applicants subsequently decided against that, he said the plan still shows the potential for “future development” there. “This Site Plan has been shown on the entire lot right now,” he told the commission. “So, any future subdivision would come back before you.”Goforth noted that a 4,550-square-foot “orthopedic clinic” will be constructed on the outparcel on the west side of Highway 51. He said a “covered drive-through” will be on the front of the building, and access will be from a “private drive” to the south and west of it. Although a minimum of 31 parking spaces are required, Goforth said the applicants will provide 49.
