The future Huntington Estates is taking shape down Shelby Road in Millington. Back in the summer the Millington Planning Commission approved the Final Plats for the first two phases of the Huntington Estates subdivision southeast of the intersection of Shelby and Quito roads. Phase 1 is zoned R-2, Medium-Density Residential, which requires a minimum 6,500-square-foot lot with at least 65 feet of frontage. It will consist of 50 lots on 14.99 acres and will cover the extension of Hickory Meadow Road “up to and improvements to” Shelby Road. Phase 2 is zoned R-1, Low-Density Residential, which requires a minimum 10,000-square-foot lot with at least 80 feet of frontage. Consisting of 52 lots on 16.55 acres, it will extend Field Oak Road to the west and tie into the White Oak subdivision.
