TRA’s Alexander gives Memphis Baseball verbal committment

Rebel standout Connor Alexander verbally committed to The University of Memphis June 26 to play baseball.

According to Tipton-Rosemark Academy Baseball sources, incoming senior Connor Alexander has verbally committed to play for The University of Memphis Tigers.

Alexander will be the second in his family to reach the college level after a standout career for Brad Smith’s Rebels. His older brother Cale was a standout catcher for TRA and moved on to Christian Brothers University.

The younger Alexander shined his junior season with an 8-1 record with a 1.75 ERA. He struck out 68 batters in 63 innings. At the plate Connor was one of the most productive Rebels with a .484 batting average hitting 14 doubles. He added four triples while driving in 35 runs.
