The Millington Trojan Soccer team led by Head Coach Jerrett Everson made their debut at the State Tournament May 23 in Murfreesboro. The Class 2A State Soccer Tournament took place at the Richard Siegel Soccer Complex with the Trojans drawing the overall favorite in the first round of the single elimination format. The Trojans gave the Greeneville Devils heck in the final 40 minutes of the game holding them to two goals, but Greeneville’s four goals in the opening half led to a 6-0 victory over Millington. Greeneville did reach the finals on Friday but Valor College Prep pulled off the upset 1-0 to claim the State championship.
