The City of Millington, Millington Central High School and Trojan Football were rocked last week with the news of the passing of Ahmaad Galloway.

The 1998 graduate of MCHS and one of the best running backs in school history was found dead January 9 in St. Louis at the age of 42.

No cause of death was given immediately. Galloway was an English teacher at Compton-Drew Middle School. After a welfare check at his apartment, Galloway was discovered.

Galloway is a football legend at Millington. While wearing the black and gold, he became one of the school’s all-time leading rushers. His No. 22 jersey was retired by the school.

He signed with the Alabama Crimson Tide where he played his college football from 1999 to 2002. He played in the NFL including with the Denver Broncos.
