U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Finance Center Recognized as World Class Worplace

The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) headquarters recognized the USACE Finance Center as both a “World-Class Workplace” and “Best Place to Work”. 

The recognition resulted from the 2022 Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS), which is a survey provided to all personnel annually to measure federal employees’ satisfaction with the agencies they work for. 

The Finance Center was awarded the 2022 USACE World-Class Workplace. This award was awarded to USACE organizations that received an overall Best Place to Work score between 80-89% based on employee scores from the latest FEVS. 

The Finance Center’s overall score is 85.23% with specific scores including Recommend Organization: 87.69%; Job Satisfaction: 85.86%; and Organization Satisfaction: 83.69%. 

“I am proud to celebrate this news with all our employees who work very hard each day to maintain the quality standards as the premier, world-class provider of finance and accounting services for USACE worldwide,” said Cynthia Blevins, Director of the Finance Center. “It is because of the combined efforts of each one of our employees that we have managed to achieve this success.”

The Finance Center employs more than 220 locally on board Naval Support Activity Mid-South with an additional ten personnel stationed across the nation. 

The Finance Center’s mission is to provide responsive, professional operational finance & accounting day-to-day support for USACE worldwide. This includes the full range of customer services, payments, disbursing, accounting, and financial reporting for Civil Works and Military Programs appropriated funds, and Revolving & Trust funds. 

The Finance Center is responsible for performing research, analysis, development, installation, and systems maintenance for the Corps of Engineers Financial Management System II (CEFMS II) and the Corps of Engineers Financial Management System Corporate Reporting Module (CEFMS-CRM). 

The Finance Center has the principal responsibility for setting the strategic direction and providing overall operating finance and accounting functions of the USACE.
