Greetings from the World of Real Estate with Julè. I realize that I communicate frequently about our weather and that is because much of what we do, and how we feel involves our weather. These beautiful weather days we have had recently have been so enjoyable. The cool temperatures are energizing as opposed to the sluggish days of summer due to the excessive heat. This is a great time to take advantage of stepping outside and getting as much fresh air as possible. Even if you simply pull a chair outdoors and sit a while if that is what your body allows. The fresh air is so pleasant. It helps clear your mind and improve your mood.
The leaves are falling. Keeping up on property is important, including leaf removal from the gutters. This is a difficult task and certainly not a fun one. If you feel uncomfortable, climbing on a ladder, please contact someone to help you. Why is it important to remove leaves from the gutters? Should there be enough buildup of leave it can cause roof damage. This can be quite expensive to repair. Therefore, the old saying, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” really hold true here. It may cost a small fee to hire someone to do this chore for you. Be careful of scammers. There are people out there who will even try to charge you too much to do this job. Shop around and get several bids. If you have trouble finding someone, please feel free to contact me and I will try to get you some help.
Outdoor repairs to your home may need to be done. This is a great time to do them or have them done. Why? Again, the cooler temperatures are so much easier to work in than the hotter temperatures. Putting up your outdoor decorations will be much easier than when the weather gets colder as well.
Now that we are getting this cooler weather, are you ready for the next season. It will be here before you know it. Yes, it is only a little over a month before Christmas will be here. I think it may mean a cold one this year. Have you gotten your winter wear ready for the season? This is a good time to have your coats dry cleaned for the upcoming weather. Should you have any coats or jackets that no longer fit or strike your fancy but are still in good shape, please consider donating them to someone in need. There are still plenty of people that could use the warmth. Sometimes, while standing outside for our parades we can get quite chilled. Be sure to bring a warm jacket/coat, gloves, scarf and hat. The children look so precious bundled up and excited. If the weather is chilly and breezy, you may consider applying a little Vaseline on their little cheeks to help protect them from windburn.
My birthday is today and I will spend it working on assisting my clients get into their new homes before Thanksgiving. I’m not sure who is more excited, me or them. It brings me much joy to see a family begin new memories in their new home. For the seller, it means leaving some great memories, especially if they have been there for a long time and making new ones as well.
One thing for sure throughout our lifetime, change is inevitable.
