1. Goodies to Eat is the latest restaurant to open at 7838 Church Street. The eatery offering a variety of home cooked items moved in and opened in May after the departure of A & J’s Catfish Station. T

2. Earlier this year United Oil Change began operations at 8141 Highway 51 North in Millington. United Oil Change offers full service oil changes to all makes and models. There are military discounts and other specials. For more information, call 901.872.2009.

3. The renovation of the interior of the former Goody’s located at 8221 Highway 51 North in Millington became Aaron’s.  The Aaron’s Company is an American lease-to-own retailer. The company focuses on leases and retail sales of furniture, electronics, appliances, and computers. Aaron’s is headquartered in Atlanta, Ga., and according to 2019 numbers made $3.94 billion. Aaron’s was founded on June 19, 1955. There are multiple Aaron’s locations in the Memphis area. 

4. Another remodeling project took place at 8252 Highway 51 North. The former building that served as a Back Yard Burger and Dunkin Donuts became The Nestle® Toll House®. The menu consists of the trademark cookies, cookie cakes, brownies, ice cream, milkshakes and smoothies. Then there is a full line of hot and frozen coffee beverages. 

5. One of the highlights of May 2022 for the city of Millington has been the opening of Jack’s Restaurant. Residents of Flag City and nearby communities have been flocking to 7954 Highway 51 North to have their first encounter with Jack’s salads, burgers, chicken and freshly made biscuits. The opening month concluded May 31 with the Millington Area Chamber of Commerce hosting the official ribbon cutting for the establishment. MACC Executive Director Terry Roland, ambassadors and other city of Millington dignitaries welcomed the new business to the Flag City family and business community.
