By David Peel

About a year ago, I was telling a friend a story about my great grandparents who died just hours apart.

He is a videographer, among other things, and asked me to tell that story on video.

Now, a year later, we have these little (roughly) 5 minute history videos posted on the Peel Law Firm Facebook Page (under videos) where I tell you the stories that include:

The Legend of the Crying Angel (South of Millington) that scared kids for generations.

The Kerrville train crossing crash of 1931 that killed my great grandfather and great uncle.

The Arlington Indian mounds

The story of my Arlington great grandparents dying hours apart

The mural of Arlington.

The Powder Plant in Millington.

College Hill park in Arlington

The Millington secret: the settlers’ cemetery.

But more are on the way. From Rosemark, Cordova, Drummonds, Brownsville, Arlington, Covington and Randolph.

There are at least three ways I invite you to be a part of this one small effort at preserving our local history:

1. Watch and then Share these Facebook videos with your friends.

2. Suggest ideas for future videos based on stories or spots you know about.

3. Consider Christmas shopping for our unique local historical TeeShirts and Hats on our site:  PeelLawFirm.com/Store where we donate All profits to charity.

As I continue in my almost 30 years of injury law practice, I only handle cases I am passionate about.

Also I am able to pursue some dreams:

I am able to give even more back to our community in new ways by preserving our stories.

I am able to contribute even more to selected charities.

I am renovating a 109 year old home on Arlington’s Historic Depot Square to use as my law office which will open sometime in mid to late 2024.

Thank you for your support as we preserve the stories of our communities.
